In any conflict of viewpoints, one side is typically a little more on defense and the other a little more on offense. Everyone else just gets sucked in by whoever has the upper hand at a given moment.
It’s nice to keep one’s distance from violent turmoil but when your life and livlihood is under attack, it’s no longer a simple issue of partisan opinion. You’ve got to take a stand and, it’s reasonable to side with the forces that don’t seek your personal destruction.
It’s useful to note that the violent radicals always take hold initialy with support from factions within the established order. In America's case, the "Deep State," Democrat party, and associated wealthy leftists (eg. actors and actresses).
